Traffic Exchanges, Do they Work?
If you have a website and you already have it in some Search Engines, you want to raise the ranks of your site. Besides the fact, that the content and keywords are optimized, the Traffic Exchanges could be a way to generate both Traffic and Search Engine ranking. The question is not as much Do They Work as Which do Actually work. On average, a person should see the same thing at least Seven times, before they make a decision of accepting or not. As an example, what would you prefer say on a daily basis: to have 1,000 new people to be exposed to your site, or show it to 100 people 10 times? Another thing to take into consideration, when determining a Traffic Exchange, is the amount of time the site will be exposed. You should expect a "normal" surfer to spend at least 10-15 seconds, if you have a Catching headline and inspiring content. I assume you have optimized the load time for your site, so they don't sit and wait and wait. Just imagine to have your site which loads in 15 seconds being shown in a 15 second exchange! An Automatic Traffic Exchange can generate a massive traffic to your site, but are anyone actually watching your site? And is your own site(s) into the rotation, in a way so you see it yourself? An Manual Traffic Exchange, will require a user interface between sites, so chances for them to actually see your site is several times better than the auto. But again the Quantity vs. Quality remains. My "Golden Rule" for choosing Traffic Exchange is Quality for my own content sites, and quantity for the sites which reward you for that. I choose Exchanges which provides Quality Traffic i.e. the same site is not presented more than a few times to the same IP in an 24 hour period. And there are actually quite a few of those available. Be aware of those Exchanges, which gives you "relative" good rates, but then show your site indiscreminately i.e. you could see your own site several times within an hour! Remember, that the Popularity of a site in the Search Engines, is not (only) how many times a site has been viewed, but how often the same IP appears. So go for where you get the most spread i.e. different IP's only a few times - or best ONCE a day - and from various parts of the world. # exposure time in the exchange # exposure rate to IP / 24 hrs # exposure spread to IP's # determine the chances to actually be seen If you are interested, you can post a comment and ask for my personally recommended Traffic Exchanges, both Auto and Manual. |
